Proven Competence
Become a Certified Clerk of Works with the ACQP
- Gain real, inspector-led experience
- Achieve recognised competence (SKEB aligned)
- Progress your career with confidence
The ACQP Clerk of Works course is a comprehensive, competence-based programme designed to reflect the real demands of modern construction and building safety. Built around the principles of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Golden Thread, the course goes far beyond traditional learning by focusing on what professionals actually need on site. It combines structured learning with practical inspection knowledge, giving learners a clear understanding of compliance, quality control, and risk management across the full construction process.
Delivered through the ACQP’s purpose-built LMS, the course provides a unique learning experience with ongoing tutor support, live sessions, and detailed coursework. Learners are assessed not just on knowledge, but on their ability to demonstrate competence through the SKEB framework (Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Behaviours). This ensures that by the end of the programme, candidates can confidently carry out inspections, produce professional reports, and identify defects in real-world scenarios, something many traditional qualifications do not fully achieve.
What sets this course apart is its focus on long-term professional development rather than short-term certification. With flexible learning options, monthly payment plans through Learn Capita, and continuous tutor engagement, it is designed to support both new entrants and experienced professionals looking to formalise their expertise. The result is a highly practical, industry-aligned qualification that genuinely prepares individuals to operate as competent Clerk of Works professionals in today’s regulated construction environment.

The ACQP Learning Management System
The ACQP Learning Management System (LMS) has been purpose-built to meet the real needs of the construction industry, not just generic online learning. Developed by construction professionals, it is designed around practical delivery, inspection-based knowledge, and real-world application rather than theory alone. Every element of the platform reflects the ACQP’s commitment to raising standards, ensuring that learners gain skills they can immediately apply on site..
What sets the ACQP LMS apart is its integration of SKEB (Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Behaviours) competency tracking throughout every course. Learners are not just completing modules—they are being assessed holistically on how they perform, think, and apply their learning. This aligns directly with modern expectations under the Building Safety Act and the Golden Thread, ensuring that competence is measurable, auditable, and defensible.
The platform itself has been built to provide a professional, streamlined user experience for learners, tutors, and administrators. Features include structured course modules, unit-based submissions, live tutor feedback, progress tracking dashboards, and automated certificate controls. Importantly, certificates cannot be issued until full course completion is verified, maintaining integrity and credibility in every qualification delivered through the system.
No question is too small. We are here to support quality professionals at every stage of their career.
